What this site is
The Budget Transparency Portal is the official channel through which the Federal Government of Somalia’s Ministry of Finance publishes national budget documents and the revenue and expenditure data behind them. Everything published here has been formally reviewed and approved before it appears on the site.
Using the data
The figures, charts, and documents on this portal are published for public transparency and accountability, and you are welcome to view, download, quote, and reference them — including for journalism, research, and civic oversight, which is exactly what this site exists to support. If you republish figures from this site, please attribute them to the Ministry of Finance and note the publication and fiscal year they came from, so readers can trace them back to the source.
Accuracy and the authoritative record
This portal is built to present the Ministry’s published data faithfully, and every figure links back to the official document it was drawn from. That said, the signed, published PDF document for a given publication is always the authoritative record. If anything on this site ever appears to conflict with the official document, the document governs — and we’d want to know about the discrepancy; see how to reach us.
